Coat Fit For A Princess

19 Nov

I don’t really get all the commotion over the news that Prince William and Kate Middleton are engaged. I mean, it’s wonderful for them, but did anyone not see this coming? And while the wedding will surely be spectacular, don’t you think it’s a bit silly that the likes of Entertainment Tonight are already spending entire shows discussing the (completely hypothetical) details of a wedding that probably won’t take place for another year?

That said, there is something about Kate Middleton that greatly interests me… that white coat! I simply must have one!

Apparently she’s had the coat for years (isn’t it reassuring that the future queen of England wears something for years?). But I only just noticed it since all the engagement brew-ha-ha started.

My obsession with the white trench coat/peacoat actually began last weekend. A friend uploaded a photo to Facebook–she was wearing an adorable white peacoat and I immediately started dreaming up outfits I could design around that coat.

So, Santa… here are some more affordable versions of Kate Middleton’s coat. Perhaps your elves could fashion one for me?

Oh, I got a good tip on these! Check out Old Navy–theirs are super cute and they were 40% off (about a week ago, not sure whether that sale is still going on).
